Title: Dragons & Lotuses
Chapter Three: The Healer
Author: renagrrl/
renagrrl7/
renagrrl_writes
Rating: PG-13/T (May move to R/M in later chapters)
Pairings: Sokka/everybody, (eventual) Zuko/Katara
Description: Sokka is an undercover cop for the L.A.P.D., trying his best to infiltrate the notorious White Lotus Society yakuza. While his plans have always been to take the yakuza down, will he eventually take his artificial oaths of loyalty to heart?
Excerpt:
She appraised him under the streetlight. As he pulled another long drag from his cigarette, lips pursed, Zuko looked almost cool — like one of those gangsters in an old black-and-white movie. The shadows created by the streetlight momentarily hid his scar as he stood there staring off into the night. For a moment, Katara considered that he would have been devastatingly handsome had he not received the scar. But, in a way, it also suited him she thought. Shaking her head, she returned to her original train of thought.

In response to
irrel's bit of art here, I wrote a quick 500-word one-shot...

( It was dark, darker than any place Katara had seen during their travels, and she carefully followed Toph as the young blind girl quietly bent away the earth. )

Title: The Catcher in the Rye
Word Count: 493
Warnings: Use of a bad word...
Note:I wrote a one-shot for Challenge #88: Titles for the
theavatar100. You're supposed to take the title of a book and turn it into a little ATLA-related drabble. If you know "The Catcher in the Rye," the subject matter won't suprise you greatly-- the main character is fairly angsty and depressing...as is our favorite exiled Fire Nation prince. This is unbetaed and is cross-posted to
katara_zuko and
theavatar100.
